Privacy Policy

1. The Tare CLI — local-only, zero egress

The Tare command-line tool runs entirely on your machine. Its ledger, spill files, and Lab are all local. The tool sends no telemetry and no usage data anywhere — zero egress by design. We never see your code, prompts, or savings.

2. Our website, checkout & support — limited data, named processors

Buying and supporting Tare involves a normal amount of personal data, handled by the processors below. On this site we count page views first-party and cookieless: aggregate daily totals per page and referring site only — no cookies, no IP addresses stored, no fingerprinting, no third-party analytics, and we honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. No advertising cookies, ever.

Why we process it (legal bases): to deliver your purchase and license key (contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); to run and secure the site and answer support, including AI triage (legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f)); and to keep invoices for the period tax law requires (legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c)).

Retention: support email and license records are kept while your license is active and as long as the law requires for invoices; logs are kept for a short operational window.

Your rights: access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability. Email us to exercise them. You may also complain to your local authority or to the Serbian Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (Poverenik).

AI note: if you email support, the contents are processed by an AI model (via OpenRouter) to triage your message. Straightforward FAQ questions may get an automated reply; anything about billing, licensing, or that the assistant isn't confident about is escalated to a human.
