End-User License Agreement
A plain license for a tool you own. By installing or using Tare, you agree to this.
1. License grant
On purchase, you get a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Tare software ("Tare") for your own development work, on the machines you control. Your license activates on up to 3 devices at a time; you can deactivate a device and move the seat to another one you own.
2. Restrictions
You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, rent, or share your license key; or reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source of the compiled binary, except to the extent that such a restriction is prohibited by law.
3. Ownership
Tare, its name, and its design are and remain the property of the licensor. This agreement licenses Tare to you; it does not sell it to you. Tare interoperates with third-party tools (e.g. Claude Code, and optionally rtk when you install it separately) that are owned by their respective owners.
4. Updates
Your purchase includes lifetime signed updates within the current major version line (v1.x). "Lifetime v1.x updates" means that line for as long as Tare is commercially offered; it does not promise future major versions or successor products, which may be offered separately. We may discontinue Tare on reasonable notice.
5. No warranty
Tare is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular saving will be achieved. This does not exclude the statutory guarantee of conformity owed to consumers (see Terms).
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the licensor's total liability arising out of or related to Tare is limited to the amount you paid for it, and the licensor is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Termination
This license ends if you materially breach it. On termination you must stop using Tare and may uninstall it with tare uninstall.
8. Purchase & refunds
Your purchase and any refund are processed by Polar as Merchant of Record; Polar's terms govern the sale, while this EULA governs your use of the software. See the Terms for refund and trial details.
9. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Serbia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
